It isn’t entirely your fault; we live in a culture that is free to advertise their products as being healthy, even when it is far from the truth. The labeling “all natural” means absolutely nothing in most cases—other than it attracts you if you are looking for healthier products. The labeling “reduced fat” usually means the company has added twice the sugar for flavor purposes. How about those fruit and vegetable drinks on the market? Unfortunately, your body processes a glass of orange juice the same way it would a can of soda! It’s just “sugar” to the body, and it rates HIGH on the glycemic index (meaning it causes a spike in blood sugar level).

Most fad diets focus on calorie counting. Calorie counting isn’t important. What is important is the quality of products that you ingest or that you put on your body.
